My First Time At The Wanderlust 108 Festival!

My First Time At The Wanderlust 108 Festival!

Hey Babes! Heaven Here...

Sunday, I attended The Wanderlust 108 Festival in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Wanderlust's mission is to help people find their true north — to cultivate their best self. They create events, media, products, and experiences to guide people on their path toward a healthy and inspired life.

I remember when I started to attend the Yoga Classes in Bryant Park last Summer and how everyone was talking about how amazing the festival was just a week before and I was so bummed to have missed it. Since then, I've fallen in love with the Peace, Serenity, Focus & Balance Yoga brings to my life and knew that attending the festival was a MUST this year.

I didn't stay on top of any updates but I came across the Eventbrite page was elated when I was able to get the tickets for the Yoga & Meditation portions of the event.

I arrived walking through Prospect Park going the same direction as the other yogis so I knew I was heading the right way! It was so exciting to see the large WANDERLUST Banner as I got closer.

The instructions were clear as Day as the signs to "Check In" and "Bag Check" was apparent to the right of the banner. The "Check In" line was short by the time I got there which was around 11am in time for the 2nd Yoga Class. I grabbed a complimentary t-shirt that was too cute, my goodie bag and headed to the "Main Stage".

Appearently the Yoga Class was already in session it was best to just fall in place and blend in so that's what I did. Now, I've only been doing yoga for a little over a year and was a bit overwhelmed during the first few minutes of trying to catch up. But once I got my groove, that's exactly what happened.... I was in my groove and that made it so worth!

After the Yoga and Meditation classes (the Mindful part of the festival & also, the only part I signed up for) I explored the many many vendors and stands that featured natural foods and juices as well as Yoga apparel, mats and everything else in between! I intended to join the Hula Hoop class on my way out of the park because it looked like so much fun but I was so hungry at this point and needed to get ready to attend a few NYFW shows later that day. All & all, it was an amazing event & next year, I'll be sure to sign up for more and make a full day out of it, with friends!
